Effective Communication for Support Workers

This training course designed to uphold the rights of people with disabilities, ensuring they have choice, control, and the ability to make decisions about their own lives.  Through the lens of NDIS participants, this course illustrates what effective communication entails and how it bolsters their autonomy.  It equips NDIS providers and workers with the necessary skills to meet their obligations under the NDIS Code of Conduct and Practice Standards. Participants will gain an understanding of the diverse needs of people with disabilities and the significance of an inclusive work environment.  The course offers strategies to enhance workplace communication with people with disabilities and provides access to a range of supports to facilitate this.  By the end of the training, workers will be adept at creating a safe and empowering environment where everyone’s voice is heard.
